Overview

Monkton Stadium refurbishment complete

The facility is now fully open to the public. The changes include:

  • an extension of the gym space with the addition of a mezzanine floor
  • a new sauna
  • the refurbishment of the changing rooms

Monkton Stadium is a major athletics venue that hosts both regional and national events.

The centre offers a fitness suite, fitness classes, track and field events and coaching in many sports, as well as being the home of Jarrow and Hebburn Athletics Club.

Monkton Stadium are proud to be part of the Leisurewatch scheme. This provides training and support to our staff to help them recognise concerning behaviour and act to stop it, making our public spaces safer for all of us.
