Maracas Out for Mayor's Civic Ball
Charitable guests will be 'Havana' a great evening of entertainment when the Mayor's Civic Ball returns this spring.
The Mayor of South Tyneside, Councillor Pat Hay is inviting people to merengue down to the Copacabana-themed Civic Ball, which is taking place on Saturday 22 April, from 7pm, at Temple Park Centre, John Reid Road, South Shields.
Tickets cost £40 each and includes a fizz reception, three course meal with wine, fantastic entertainment and plenty of dancing.
Fundraising activities will also take place on the evening to raise money for the Mayor's Charity, which includes The Customs House and Cancer Connections among others.
The Mayor said: "The Mayoress and I are really looking forward to this year's Civic Ball with its tropical theme. It is sure to be a fantastic night that brings a taste of Rio to the Borough and we would love the people of South Tyneside to join us for an evening of entertainment and great food.
"Guests will be able to enjoy a delicious evening meal, followed by fantastic music and a disco. This is a great opportunity to get all dressed up, have a wonderful evening with your friends, colleagues or family whilst helping to support the Mayor's Charity fund."
