Privacy notice for the Carers Development and Support Opportunities Survey

This notice provides additional privacy information regarding the Carers Learning and Development Opportunities Survey.
We will keep our privacy notice under regular review and will advise you of any updates on our website.

For the purposes of Data Protection legislation, Â鶹ÊÓƵ is the Data Controller.

We will collect the following types of personal information:
- Name
- Email address
4. How do we collect personal information?
We will collect your personal information by the data you provide in the survey either by:
- A survey form you have completed and given to us
- An online survey form
- A survey form you have completed at a drop-in or Carers group/forum at one of our partner organisations.
5. Who might we share your personal information with?
We will collect your personal information only for the purposes of:
- To understand more about the training and development needs of carers in South Tyneside and to help us improve the health and wellbeing of carers
- To inform you of training and development opportunities.
6. Who might we share your personal information with?
We will not share your personal information with any other third parties unless you have specifically asked us to, or if we have a legal obligation to do so.
We will only use your name and contact email for the purposes of informing you about future training, learning and development opportunities which we think you might be interested in.
7. How long will we keep your personal information?
We will only keep your information (i.e. name and email), for as long as necessary. The Council is required to hold certain types of information for a statutory period. In other cases the Council may keep personal information for historical, statistical or research purposes.
At the end of the retention period, or the life of a particular record, it will be reviewed and deleted, unless there is any special reason for keeping it.
8. What is our legal basis for using your personal information?
To use your personal information there must be a lawful basis to do this, such as, through a contract, performing a public task or where there is a legal obligation.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

9. How do we keep your personal information secure?
Information provided to the Council is held securely on our network.
Only officers working within Adult Social Care and Commissioning and system administrators have access to these records.

No.
