As required in the Constitution at Part D, Section 4, 17.3.2. the Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee was informed that the following reports were added to the Forward Plan on 17 May 2024 to be considered at Cabinet on 12 June 2024.
- North East Mayoral Combined Authority: Borrowing Powers. To consent to the making of regulations by Central Government to give NECA statutory borrowing powers in respect of its non transport related functions.
- Education Properties: award of multiple contracts that are funded by the Department of Education. For Cabinet to award a range of contracts for works to be undertaken on education properties.
Appointment of contractors for Children's Residential Homes and Assessment Centre
Appointment of contractors to undertake remaining works on two Children's Residential Homes (Grant St and Hebburn New Town) and one Children's Assessment Centre (Seton / Fox Avenue) following previous contractor entering administration.
Value of contracts will exceed £250,000.
